This two days program will be opened by a Keynote Speech from Prof. Azmi Sharom of Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. Prof. Azmi, who has been teaching human rights and environmental law at Universiti Malaya for 25 years, is known as a respected academic and activist. He is one of the most popular lectures at the Law Faculty of Universiti Malaya, due to his incessant encouragement in critical and intellectual debates. He will give a welcoming remark on Human Rights in the ASEAN Community Era: Opportunity and Challenges.
The symposium will give an opportunity as well for at least 54 selected papers on various topics to be presented at the conference. This remarkable opportunity will enable undergraduate students to present their ideas and opinions, while building networks with other students in ASEAN. It is expected that the paper presenters will come from various universities in ASEAN and in Indonesia.
